Annie Wood signs with Lawson Artist Management

December 20, 2006 (Los Angeles, CA) Television/film actress, writer, comedienne and host Annie Wood has signed with Lawson Artist Management for personal management. 

Annie Wood will be next appearing along with Dane Cook and Jessica Alba in “Good Luck Chuck” due out in the summer of 2007 and recently starred in the film “Heart of Fear."

Selected Annie Wood television and film credits include: “ER,” “Joey,” “That’s So Raven,” “Becker,” “NYPD Blue,” “Cellblock Sisters: Banished Behind Bars,” “Bzzz!” “The Chelsea Handler Show,” “Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher,” “The Rita Rudner Show,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” as well as the short-film  “Monkey Mind!” (written by Annie Wood) which is currently in post-production.  Annie has performed several times at The Improv in Los Angeles, including one night when she followed Jerry Seinfeld.

Hollywood Reporter has called green-eyed, platinum-blonde Annie Wood, host of Tribune Entertainment's nationally syndicated show, “Bzzz!” "a real find."  The Hollywood Reporter has likened her on-screen dazzle, impertinence and spunk to Jean Harlow, Mae West and cinema comedienne, Joan Davis.  Other critics have compared Annie Wood to Judy Holiday, Martha Raye, Goldie Hawn and Lucille Ball.

Annie Wood, at the age of 15, was awarded "Outstanding Comedic Actress" for her portrayal of the Nurse in "Romeo & Juliet" at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.
