Elle Newlands cast as female lead in festival-bound short film

April 4, 2007 (Los Angeles, CA) Elle Newlands has been cast as the female lead in the festival-bound short film, "Mystical Chairs."

"A famous mystic leads a meditation class. As the evening progresses we see how the memories of one student reveal an intricate past connection with the teacher that exists on multiple levels of reality."

Other cast members include Shane Callahan ("Dawson's Creek") and Barbara Goodson ("Power Rangers"). "Mystical Chairs" is directed by Rowan Morrigan. Director of Photography is Russ Griffith ("You, Me and Dupree," "Bewitched," "Charlie's Angels," "CSI," "Herbie Fully Loaded," and "Men in Black 2").

Filming will wrap within the next three weeks.
