Tracy Thomas short film wins first place in industry festival
September 13, 2007 (Los Angeles, CA) Actress Tracy Thomas' short-film "Loose Ends" has won first place in an industry short film festival. Tracy Thomas starred in and produced the three-minute short adapted from the final scene in Michael Weller's theatre play "Loose Ends" which ran on Broadway. The story of the film revolves around a married couple who recently divorced. They have one last fling after they've divorced and have both moved on to new releationships. The short was directed by X Deal Lim (FOX's "On the Lot").
Acting networking group Industry RSVP and Breakdowns Services sponsored the short film festival which awarded "Loose Ends" first place in June.
Tracy Thomas' performance in "Loose Ends" can be viewed Breakdown Services' critics show "Reel Deal" on VirtualChannelNetwork.com, which is sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter and Breakdown Services. "Reel Deal" is hosted by casting director Bonnie Gillespie of Cricket Feet Casting and talent agent Marc Bass of Marc Bass Agency.

Canadian Tracy Thomas began her professional acting career at the age of nine. By eighteen, Tracy Thomas had become a very prominent young actress in the Canadian theatre scene and had gained critical acclaim for her stage performances in productions such as West Side Story, The Secret Garden, Anne of Green Gables, and Hamlet. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Alberta: one of the best BFA Acting Programs in North America. Upon graduation, she went on to perform at the two largest repertory theatres in North America: The Stratford Festival and The Shaw Festival where she performed in Twelfth Night, Henry V, The Seagull, Caesar and Cleopatra, and Merrily We Roll Along. Tracy starred alongside Dan Aykroyd, Dave Foley, and Dave Thomas in the feature film “Intern Academy,” and with Daniel Baldwin and Leslie Hope in the feature film “Double Frame.” She's also had guest spots on Canadian hit series "Corner Gas" and "Mentors." Most recently, Tracy completed filming the award-winning short film "Loose Ends," directed by X Dean Lim. Currently, Tracy resides in Los Angeles and works full-time in film, TV and theatre.
