Nearly 600 attend Post-Grammy Client Showcase at Knitting Factory
February 11, 2008 (Hollywood, CA) More than 575 fans and industry executives attended tonight's Lawson Artist Management's Post-Grammy Client Showcase on the main stage of The Knitting Factory in Hollywood.
Lawson's recording artist clients who performed included: modern rock band Even The Sun, Shane Mack, Joseph Troski, Elle Newlands and Tracy Thomas. Actress/Host and client Annie Wood emceed and client Jordan C. Michael directed and produced the showcase.

| Funky modern rock band Even The Sun’s music compares to Dave Matthews Band, Matchbox Twenty, U2, Widespread Panic, Sublime and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Even The Sun's singles "Unknown Hottie," "Table Dance," and "Love Triangle" from their "Superspy" album have aired on over 20 radio stations across the country. About Shane Mack |
| Shane Mack has written songs since the age of five and performed since the age of 12. Shane began his recording, songwriting and music producing career in Nashville. His debut album on Universal/Curb Records was ranked in Billboard's Top 10 debut albums, earned him three Billboard Top 40 hits and a Top 5 music video on CMT. About Joseph Troski |
| South African-born singer/songwriter Joseph Troski has been writing and performing music since the age of five. Born in the suburbs of Johannesburg, Joseph moved to Brooklyn, NY, when he was eight. Joseph taught himself how to sing and play the piano. Joseph attended Manhattan’s La Guardia High School of Music & Art (the school from the television series “Fame”). By age 18, he was performing original songs in clubs and restaurants throughout New York City’s East Village and Brooklyn. At 19, Joseph was offered a seat to study in the Purchase College Conservatory of Music, a recording contract from an independent label and a publishing deal. A prolific songwriter, Joseph Troski also produces music for film, theater and other artists. Two of Joseph’s original compositions received honorable mention from the John Lennon International Songwriting Competition. About Elle Newlands |
| Elle Newlands, born and raised in Scotland, is an actress, pop recording artist and voice over artist who has appeared in several BBC television shows, including the lead in a pilot, commercials, music videos and films. As a pop recording artist, Elle’s vocal recording of “In Heaven” appears on the compilation album “Independently Speaking” alongside Grammy-nominated Az Yet and mega-hit R&B group Dru Hill. Elle Newlands has toured Britain and Europe, performing on stage with Seal, Travis, Natalie Imbruglia and was the opening act for The Pointer Sisters in Los Angeles. She has also recorded radio and TV jingles in the US and Europe, been featured on MTV and hosted her own segment ‘Elle’s Pop Diary’ on a popular BBC Radio show. As a voice over artist, Elle recorded voice-overs and vocals for a character in Hasbro’s current North American tour of “My Little Pony Live: The World’s Biggest Tea Party” and the lead character on the Tiny Oaks album "Sing Along With Me!" written by Grammy and two-time Academy Award winner Richard M. Sherman. Elle lives and works full time in Los Angeles where she has recently wrapped filming the lead in three short films. | About Tracy Thomas | |
| Canadian Tracy Thomas had a childhood career in musical theater and opera. Tracy began to play guitar and write songs when she hit her late teens. Tracy Thomas has composed over 50 songs in the genres of rock, pop, folk and jazz. Tracy was the lead singer and electric guitarist for the Canadian rock band, Crimson Chaos, which had interest from Sony Music in Los Angeles. She performed with the band for three years, during which time they recorded two albums. Tracy then branched out into the House and Progressive world and joined up with renowned Canadian DJ, DJ Jaspa, to co-write songs, one of which was released on DJ Jaspa's album, "A Long Time Coming." Over her last few years in Los Angeles, Tracy has performed at Malibu Vineyard, Calvary Community in Westlake, Vineyard Xtreme, Awakenings Coffee House, BB Kings on Universal City Walk, The Hub Theatre, and many more locations. Tracy Thomas currently performs with her rock band in the Los Angeles area on weekends, and, with her husband, is currently recording their first album together, which is set for release in Spring 2008.
