Skylar Thomson signs with Crossover Talent Management

April 17, 2009 (Los Angeles, CA) Singer-songwriter Skylar Thomson has signed with Crossover Talent Management, a subsidiary of Crossover Entertainment Group, for personal management.

Skylar is a gifted singer-songwriter, with a well-trained and keen ear for powerful radio ready music. She is a girl that knows who she is and what she wants! she believes that music is a soundtrack to life-- so why not rock out! She stays true to herself in every song that she writes and has a blast while doing it!

Upon meeting music industry super producer Tal Herzberg (Ashlee Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Green Day, Fergie) through an industry source, he knew right away that Skylar was an exceptional talent. He suggested that she team up and collaborate with producer/writer Chris Landon of Loudnoize Entertainment (Jennifer Paige, Taylor Dayne, Deanna Johnston) and the end results have proven to be nothing but top notch radio friendly material. They still continue to work together.

“I am having so much fun in life. I’m young and fun and want to celebrate that in my writing. I want girls (and guys) to shake their booties and shout out loud to my music. There is always a part of my soul that goes into my tracks,” says Thomson in describing her songwriting style and motivation.

Skylar is a strong role model and motivation coach for the younger generation and uses it has inspiration for her songs. She gathers ideas from past experiences and circumstances around her. Currently her writing is pop/rock based, but hip hop is in her near future. As a writer Skylar believes in “keeping it fresh” and that collaboration is key. Two heads are always better than one.

Thomson has performed live on "Rick Dees in the Morning" (102.7 KIISFM) and contributed vocals for a Coca-Cola promotion for the Summer Olympics. She has performed the National Anthem at two Oakland Athletics Game, as well as, a UCLA basketball game. She has performed at such places as the House of Blues in both Anaheim and Sunset, The California Strawberry Festival in Oxnard CA, California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles, The Monsoon Cafe in Santa Monica, The Derby, The El Rey Theatre, The Mint, The Joint, The Los Angeles Art Show, The Malibu Arts Festival, Concerts in the Park and held a weekly show at BB KINGs at Universal City Walk.
