Richard Jenik cast in "A Soldier's Love Story"
June 3, 2009 (Los Angeles, CA) Actor Richard Jenik has been cast opposite Lori Loughlin ("90210") in Hallmark Channel's original movie, "A Soldier's Love Story," which also stars Stephanie Powers ("Hart to Hart"). The TV movie is one of the Hallmark Channel's 35 original movies it announced in March for its upcoming 2009/2010 season, its "most ambitious production slate in the network’s history." "A Soldier's Love Story" is currently filming and is executive produced by Larry Levinson; produced by Brian Gordon and Jim Wilberger.

A young boy's letter to a soldier serving overseas forever changes lives. Through a series of letters, Jared Marshall and Sgt. Vince Carerra bond over a love of baseball. Jared reveals his loneliness and estrangement from his dad after his parents divorce. When Vince returns home, he meets Jared and his mother, Dana (Lori Loughlin, "90210"). The two begin to fall in love. Complications arise when Vince gets his orders to deploy. Vince and Dana discover that true love can overcome any obstacle. About Richard Jenik
Richard Jenik's acting career began on stage performing in community theaters. It was from there he landed a supporting roles on the popular daytime soap, "Port Charles" and the hit ABC sitcom “Home Improvement.” Later, he booked recurring roles on hit shows "The District” and “7th Heaven.” Richard has recently appeared on several television series, including "Grey’s Anatomy," "Desperate Housewives," "West Wing" and “Without A Trace” and starred opposite Cary Elwes in the NBC pilot “Haskett’s Chance,” directed by Tim Blake Nelson. Richard has also appeared in several films, including "The Game of Their Lives," "Our Very Own," “Hidden Agenda” and "Deadwater." He recently completed a run of Neil Simon’s play “California Suite” where he played the part of William Warren in honor of his mentor George Grizzard. Richard holds a bachelors of science degree in medicine from Old Dominion University, where he was also an All-American soccer player.
